Ethical Guidelines for the Author(s)

The International Journal of Computational Intelligence and Control (IJCIC) upholds the highest standards of publication ethics. All authors submitting manuscripts must adhere to these ethical guidelines. Violations may result in penalties, including suspension or revocation of publishing privileges.

Section-wise Ethical Guidelines

1. Reporting Standards • Ensure research reports contain sufficient details and references for replication or verification.• Fraudulent, fabricated, or knowingly inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable.
2. Originality and Plagiarism • Submit only original work and properly acknowledge all sources.• Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is strictly prohibited.• Direct quotations must be enclosed in quotation marks and cited appropriately.
3. Declaration • Submit an undertaking declaring the work is original and not under consideration elsewhere.• Previously published abstracts or reports may be submitted if significantly expanded.• Co-authors must confirm substantial contribution and approve the final version.• Corresponding author ensures proper credit and agreed authorship order.
4. Multiple, Redundant, and Concurrent Publication • Do not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously.• Republishing is allowed only if substantially revised with new data/analysis.• Secondary publication requires editor approval and citation of the original source.
5. Acknowledgment of Sources • Properly acknowledge all sources, contributions, and funding agencies.• Cite relevant prior work to maintain transparency.• Recognize individuals assisting technically, financially, or intellectually.
6. Authorship Credit • Authorship reserved for significant contributions in conception, design, execution, or interpretation.• Corresponding author ensures all legitimate co-authors are included and all approve the final manuscript.• Non-author contributors should be listed in the Acknowledgment section.
7. Privacy of Participants • Respect privacy and confidentiality; obtain informed consent for personal data.• Identifiable information requires explicit permission.• Consent from next of kin for deceased participants.
8. Data Access and Retention • Authors may be asked to provide raw data for verification.• Ensure secure storage and accessibility of data for a reasonable period after publication.
9. Images and Graphics • Images must accurately represent data without misleading alterations.• Clearly describe origin, generation, and modification of all images.
10. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest • Disclose potential conflicts of interest, including financial, professional, or personal relationships.• Fully disclose funding sources and their roles.• Failure to disclose may lead to rejection or retraction.
11. Copyright • Upon acceptance, authors may sign a Copyright Agreement granting rights to publish, distribute, and derive works, including translations.
12. Manuscript Acceptance and Rejection • Review process typically takes 1–2 months; authors will be notified of Accept, Reject, or Revise and Resubmit decisions.• Revisions require detailed responses to reviewers’ comments.• Appeals can be made to the Editor-in-Chief.• Rejected manuscripts may be submitted elsewhere after editorial conclusion.
